Pressure Treated
Bulkhead, Dock and Pier Pilings
Treated wood poles, posts
and pilings used in marine and shoreline applications
require a more rebust level of treatment than posts
and poles used on the farm or ranch. Using the
appropriate level of treatment for your marine structures
will ensure your project will last many years.
Poles and pilings used in freshwater require a minimum
treatment of .60 pcf CCA while treated poles and pilings
being used in saltwater require a heavier treatment
of 2.5 pcf CCA.

treated .40 CCA in 6 ft, 6.25 ft and 7.25 ft lengths.
These unique wood posts come in both 6 and 7 inch diameter
and are available with or without holes. Dome Top posts

or anywhere you want to prevent vehicles from driving

Before Treatment - The most frequent
cause of failure of a post or pole is rot and decay
at the ground line. Drying removes the excess
moisture from the post or pole allowing for maximum
penetration of the preservative into the wood.
Gulf Coast Lumber only sells posts that are dried before
treatment which allows us to provide you with a 30 year
warranty. Dried post will last 2-3 times longer
than a green post treated fresh from the forest.
